GHBA Ad Agency Takes No. 1 Spot in Houston’s Fast 100
September 18, 2007 (Houston, Texas) - This year’s No. 1 spot in the Houston Business Journal’s Fast 100 was taken by a member of the Greater Houston Builders Association (GHBA). This annual ranking recognizes privately-held companies that have been in business for over five years and that are based in Houston who experienced the fastest growth over the past two years. On-Target Marketing, the official advertising agency for the GHBA, led a predominately energy-related Fast 100 field with a 1,048.48 percent increase in revenue from 2004 to 2006.
On-Target Marketing provides marketing strategies and advertising services to the GHBA and more than 23 member companies. Their clients are not surprised by their success, William Shaw, a Houston remodeler and current President of the GHBA Remodelers Council noted, “Their complete make-over of my company’s branding and sales materials has made a big difference in how we are viewed by our prospects, and the results from their marketing programs have really paid-off. GHBA Executive Officer Toy Wood shared Mr. Shaw’s viewpoint saying, “On-Target Marketing’s transformation of our branding has paid huge dividends in terms of the overall perceptions of the GHBA by our members, political leaders, the media and especially prospective members. We consider their team an invaluable asset.”
When asked by the Houston Business Journal about what makes his business different than the others in his industry, Scott Steiner, President of On-Target Marketing answered, “Many advertising agencies are so focused on standing out from the ad clutter that they lose sight of what should be their fundamental goal: move customers toward a sale. Yes, your creative messages need to capture attention, but what they do after that is what really matters.”
In response to the question, what factors contributed most to your fast growth, Steiner replied, “Delivering affordable strategic marketing and creative ideas to our clients boosted our growth, and our membership in the Greater Houston Builders Association provided an excellent platform for us to showcase our abilities to their over 3,000 member companies.”
According to the Houston Business Journal, handling fast growth was a challenge for all of the Fast 100, and when asked how his company coped with these issues Steiner shared, “I imagine we’re like the rest of the companies on the list, we overcame obstacles by working hard, making all the necessary sacrifices, and by being absolutely, unequivocally committed to customer satisfaction.”
