Report: Texas Attracts Most Relocations
As seen in the Houston Business Journal: Texas has taken its place as the No. 1 destination state for residential relocations for the fourth year in a row, according to Allied Van Lines’ 41st Annual Magnet States Report.
The report, which tracks U.S. migration patterns, found that the Lone Star State achieved a 1,903 net relocation gain in 2008. That was made up of 5,891 inbound moves and 3,988 outbound moves performed by Allied. That compared with a 2,041 net gain the previous year.
Following behind Texas on the list was North Carolina with a net relocation gain of 800, and Virginia with a gain of 398.
