Announcing the Receipt of GREENGUARD® Certification!
It is with great pride that we announce Silestone quartz surfacing has received the GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certification by the GREENGUARD Environmental Institute for use in commercial and residential indoor spaces.
This coveted Certification facilitates the communication that Silestone quartz protects the indoor air quality because it has low-to-no emissions (off gassing) of toxic chemicals into the indoor environment. Silestone quartz products were tested according to stringent GREENGUARD standards for low emitting products and were found to have no impact on the indoor environment. Silestone quartz products will continue to be tested on an annual basis to ensure their low emitting status.
The Importance of GREENGUARD
In addition to the long list of accolades Silestone has always offered (i.e. non-porous, stain-resistant, Microban protection) this GREENGUARD Certification is of particular interest to the A&D community. Environmental awareness is growing daily, and with the advent of LEED CI (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design for Commercial Interiors), low emitting products will now count toward LEED points. In addition, Silestone contributes to an environmentally sensible house in keeping with today’s “green conscience” building.

The GREENGUARD Environmental Institute is an independent, non-profit organization that oversees the GREENGUARD Certification Program. The GREENGUARD Certification Program is the only independent testing program for low-emitting products.
